A Big Thank You!

What a wonderful and beautiful day! Today was my baby shower with lots of family and friends and what a blessing it was! Thank you to everyone who was there and everyone there in spirit. Thank you to all for all their hard work in putting on such a beautiful shower. This little baby is surely loved before even entering this world. It only took me 2 hours to open presents. :) K and I thank you all for all your generosity and love for our little one!

New Energy

So its been a while since I updated. Life has been busy as usual. We had a very nice Easter with my dad, Mindy and grandma. I made our Easter dinner and the only catastrophe was when I dropped the green beans on the floor and broke my casserole dish. Oh well though, things happen.

Baby Corcoran is growing more and more and moving all over the place, or at least in the space she has room for. Last week, at my supervisor's meeting at work, they threw me a baby shower, which was very sweet. I can't wait for my friends and family baby shower this weekend. I feel like I don't have everything we need. Hopefully I will feel different after this weekend. :)

I have also seemed to have a new spurt of energy at different points during the day. I have been trying to walk and workout out more and more, which makes me tired, but also gives me more energy. The nesting instinct is setting in (K can account for this one). We have a beautifully new painted and decorated bedroom (pics to come).

K and I celebrated our 1st year anniversary on Sunday!! I can't believe it has been a year. What a great year!, but wow did it go quick. We went for a very nice dinner in Redondo Beach, near where our wedding reception was held at the Chart House watching the sunset.

7 and 1/2 weeks till the big D-day and only 2 and 1/2 weeks left of work!

The Never Ending Week

This week seems like a very long one. I don't think I have ever been more tired in my life and for some reason I can not seem to get enough sleep, from night time and a few naps. It is true what everyone says about the end of pregnancy...you are ready to be done. I am there.

Work has also been busy this week and K has been at work the last 3 days. This leaves me by myself in the evenings with not much interactions. My mom is in Italy, which she arrived just after the big earthquake there on Monday, which has kept me on my toes wondering if everything is alright. I finally heard from her today and they are having a great time. Went to a Tuscan dinner tonight...oh how nice it would be. Sure beats my bowl of chicken soup I made tonight because I have had a sore throat I can not seem to get ride of this week. Well enough of my pity story. The good news for the week is that I did not have to go in for jury duty. I had to call every night, but never had to report...yay! Tomorrow is Friday and K is home for the next 3 days.

Sneak Peak

So there are 9 weeks to go until my due date. The baby's room is coming along, but will not be complete till after my shower (I hope). Here is a sneak peak at the beautiful cape code mural my mom painted and some of the goodies found in our little girls room. I am going to try and get some new pictures taken of my baby belly this week, since it definitely has grown quite a bit since the last one at 6 months.

Today is also Palm Sunday and the start of Holy week leading up to Easter. May everyone have a safe week of reflection and hope.

So my mom left early this morning for Italy. She will be there for 2 weeks having a wonderful time I hope. I will miss being able to talk to her everyday, but I think that it is great she is able to take such a wonderful trip with good friends, Janet and Barbara!

April's Shower

Today was my sister-in-law, April's baby shower. She is due with a little girl a few weeks before me. This is #3 for her, but the first girl. She is very creative and always making cute things, so I decided that I had to do something creative as well. This is the diaper cake I made for her. Complete with 72 diapers and lots of goodies to welcome baby Ashley Isabella Spencer into the world. Happy Baby April!

It is going to be fun having another little girl in the family close in age for our little girl to play with.

Spring

Happy Friday! What a beautiful day. K and I have cleaned our entire house. It is such a great feeling when everything can be clean all at once. Here is a picture of our first blooming roses in our yard. Our front yard is coming along slowly, but it sure seems like spring with the flowers blooming.

Hello 3:30am

This morning for the 3rd morning in a row I have had the joy of waking up at 3:30am. Not really sure why, but I think my body is telling me that it can't take laying still any longer. This must be the practice phase for getting up in the middle of the night. By the time I wake up in the morning, my body aches so bad it is unbelievable. I feel like I have been out and ran a marathon. Once I can get up and move around and go for my morning walk I feel much better. That is until this morning after I visited the chiropractor. I know my back is getting better the process to get there is not a fun one. No pain no gain.

K was home early this morning after working 72 hours (3 days). Since being in paramedics school he has not been at the fire station until the last month or so, and I am not trying to readjust to him being gone days at a time. I think the only thing I enjoy now about him being gone at night is that I can sleep in the middle of the bed with my zillion pillows all around me.

Happy April 1st to everyone, did anyone get any good April fool jokes pulled on them today? I couldn't think of anything good, couldn't tell K I was pregnant, its not a joke. Hope the rest of the week goes well for everyone!
