Happy Halloween!

What a couple of weeks we have had. Lots of updates are to come on what has been going on in our lives, but wanted to give a little Halloween preview and fall inspiration of our little pumpkin!

This Week

We are getting very excited around here for this weekend. On Saturday, I am hosting Meghan's bridal shower. Addy and I are very excited to entertain and have a party. And, if that wasn't enough for the weekend we are also hosting (well K and Addy) a happy hour in celebration of my master's degree. If anyone is in town and wants to stop by it is from 3-6 at our house. Week has been going well and we are surviving the weather. Here are a few pictures from this week of my little cutie. The bruise on her head is from hitting it on the pew at church last Sunday. Gotta love the life of a little one!

Good Day!

Addy and I shared a really good day today...just the two of us. We woke up and went to mass. I can not say that it was the greatest experience in the world, but we survived it. We then came home and Addy took at nice nap while I was able to get some things done. A trip to Target and Trader Joes and home we went. We didn't even have 1 melt down in either store. Addy just wanted everything I would put in the cart in TJs. Once home we had some really fun play time. This little girl amazes me how smart she is. I can ask her to get or do something and she does it. She may not be vocalizing words let, but she gets her point across. We then enjoyed a nice little bike ride, complete with Addy getting her helmet and glasses off in the middle of it. Luckily I caught it in time before she had a chance to throw them. The last part of our ride we went and visited the ducks and ran around the park. Addy thought it was so much fun to play chase. Times like these really make me see what life is all about. I wish K was there to share in our fun experiences. We then returned home for dinner (protest free :)) , bath and bed by 7:15. It was a great way to end the weekend. Tomorrow it is back to work for another week. Love to everyone and hope life is going well and you see and cherish all the "good" things in life.

Happy Wedding Mike and Becky

We attended Mike and Becky's wedding last weekend at a beautiful winery in Temecula. Although, we were having some hot weather, it was beautiful and a wonderful breeze seemed to make its way through. Addy had a blast and danced the night away. Another great time with the D family! Thankd for including us in your special day. Congratulations to Mike and Becky!

Happy Birthday Paul

We have had a few busy couple of weeks. We celebrated our good friend Paul's 30th birthday down at Newport Dunes. It was a blast. Addy decieded that she would stand in the kyack the whole time out in the water and refused to sit down. She did not stop that day, but we had a blast. We love spending time with the D family and wish Paul the best for his 30th year. The only corker for the day was that when K and I left, we hiked out, had to hop a fence with the stroller and all our stuff only to find that he and Paul had parked in a no parking zone and we had a parking ticket. The funnier thing was that the no parking sign was no more than 10 feet directly in front of the car. I should have documented the situation. So much for parking outside of the resort to save a few dollars. Here are some pictures from our fun day.

Tomatoes!

Addy has gotten to spend many days with just daddy alone since I have gone back to work. Daddy has gotten the true experience of Addy's continuous energy and personality. The other afternoon I came home and out of the gate, Addison and K come walking out. Addison's shirt is off and she is devouring a tomato just like if was an apple. I couldn't believe it. Tomato juice everywhere, but she was loving it. Addy loves our homegrown tomatoes and if is very challenging to keep them on the vine, because she will pick even the green ones. Oh well, she's a kid and you gotta love tomatoes!

Working Mommy

Well I am a working mommy in full force. This was the first full week I worked after increasing from 2 days to 4 days a week. I am still trying to build my caseload and things have actually been a little slow, but I am working through. It has actually made me feel like a more purposeful person. In a way it is easier to become motivated to get things complete and stay motivated because there is only a limited about of time available. Addy spent some time at the babysitter this week and had a blast spending time and playing with her new friend R. R is the same age as Addy and the girls seem to get along well. They imitate each other which is pretty funny to watch. I wish I only had a camera to watch them all day. C gives me all the reports though and we are very blessed to have found them. I hope that things continue to go smoothly and work out.

K also had his share of experiences with Addy this week. Mr. Mom was home the beginning of the week and Addy kept him busy. She always wants to show you something and will take your hand, lead to the kitchen, pictures to look at, outside etc and show what she is interested in. She is a great "helper". This morning when I was trying to get ready she brought me the empty laundry basket (I left it with clean folded clothes). My little "helper"!

We hope everyone is doing well. We have a busy and eventful couple of months coming up, but are excited to spend lots of time with friends and family.

Addy's First Haircut

Addy had her first haircut the other day. Although her hair wasn't super long, it was just out of control. If you have ever seen her hair when I don't have the opportunity to put it up or a bow in it, it is crazy. Mr. Roy took on the challenge and did a fantastic job. Here are some pictures from our experience.

Boots

Summer has come and gone very quickly and what fun it has been! Fall is here and we have many exciting things up and coming. Addy continues to make us laugh daily. When she wants something and you are not paying attention to her, she will roar at you like a lion. She also is shaking her head yes and no in response to questions and is pretty accurate most of the time. She is not a baby anymore and has a mind of her own. Her toodler-hood is in full swing. Trouble, trouble, trouble. Whatever she can find to get into, she is there and making a mess. When ever we get ready to go somewhere and we tell her to put her shoes on, she will go and grab her boots. Of course they are too big for her and are for her Halloween Costume, but she will proudly parade around the house.

Bathroom!

Due to some time constraints to get our bathroom done, my poor K has been working around the clock to get this project completed. Who knew that so much work would go into a bathroom. We are now on the home stretch with just come painting and fixtures to install, but almost there. Here are some before and after pictures of the wonderful work my hubby has done. I could not have married anyone better!

Accomplishment

So its official I have just turned in my last paper for my masters degree! I started in July 2008 and have now completed along with being married, working, and having a baby. I am so happy to be done and feel that now I should celebrate. I am just not sure how, but I am sure I can think of something good. K has been working diligently on the bathroom and also just reported that he was done tiling! Some drywall and paint and we are in business. It is a day of accomplishment, lets hope that tomorrow can bring as many good things!

tip toes

Addison's new discovery is walking on her tip toes! She thinks she is so funny to walk around the house on her tip toes. Every once in a while she will even lift her leg and point it to the back. Along with her "ballerinas" (turning around) she is going to be my little ballet dancer. Can't wait to see her in her recitals. Love my baby girl so much!

August

As usual time just seems to fly by! Addy has continued to grow into little Miss Independent. She now responds "yes" to questions by shaking her head and saying "thank you" by nodding her head once. She is also very receptive to going and getting an item when asked. Her favorite is to run to the fridge when daddy asks for a beer. Lucky for us, she is not able to open the fridge yet. Addison also loves to dance, go down her slide all by herself and pick all the tomatoes off the vines no matter what color they are. We are trying to teach her that the green ones stay on, but its tough. All in all it has been a good summer and busy as usual. We enjoyed a fun time at the river with the Lindholm family. Addy is part fish and loves the water and riding on the sea doo. K has been diligently working on keeping the bathroom done. It is simply amazing how much goes into one little room. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful hardworking and handy husband! I don't know what we would do without him. Grandma Uno had been a life safer at helping with Addy while I am at work and K is trying to get things done on the bathroom. We love and thank her sooo much!

We hope everyone's summer has been good, can't believe we are nearing the end and soon it is time for fall. Time goes by too quickly. Always remember to stop and smell the flowers, watch the children play, and take time for one another!

These boots were made for walking....and hippies.

Addy's new boots
Too Cute
hippie cutie

Addison got some new cowgirl boots the other day and does not want to take them off. If she finds them, she wants them on and proceeds to run around the house in them. She's also quite a cute little hippie!
