Bathroom!

Due to some time constraints to get our bathroom done, my poor K has been working around the clock to get this project completed. Who knew that so much work would go into a bathroom. We are now on the home stretch with just come painting and fixtures to install, but almost there. Here are some before and after pictures of the wonderful work my hubby has done. I could not have married anyone better!

Accomplishment

So its official I have just turned in my last paper for my masters degree! I started in July 2008 and have now completed along with being married, working, and having a baby. I am so happy to be done and feel that now I should celebrate. I am just not sure how, but I am sure I can think of something good. K has been working diligently on the bathroom and also just reported that he was done tiling! Some drywall and paint and we are in business. It is a day of accomplishment, lets hope that tomorrow can bring as many good things!

tip toes

Addison's new discovery is walking on her tip toes! She thinks she is so funny to walk around the house on her tip toes. Every once in a while she will even lift her leg and point it to the back. Along with her "ballerinas" (turning around) she is going to be my little ballet dancer. Can't wait to see her in her recitals. Love my baby girl so much!

August

As usual time just seems to fly by! Addy has continued to grow into little Miss Independent. She now responds "yes" to questions by shaking her head and saying "thank you" by nodding her head once. She is also very receptive to going and getting an item when asked. Her favorite is to run to the fridge when daddy asks for a beer. Lucky for us, she is not able to open the fridge yet. Addison also loves to dance, go down her slide all by herself and pick all the tomatoes off the vines no matter what color they are. We are trying to teach her that the green ones stay on, but its tough. All in all it has been a good summer and busy as usual. We enjoyed a fun time at the river with the Lindholm family. Addy is part fish and loves the water and riding on the sea doo. K has been diligently working on keeping the bathroom done. It is simply amazing how much goes into one little room. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful hardworking and handy husband! I don't know what we would do without him. Grandma Uno had been a life safer at helping with Addy while I am at work and K is trying to get things done on the bathroom. We love and thank her sooo much!

We hope everyone's summer has been good, can't believe we are nearing the end and soon it is time for fall. Time goes by too quickly. Always remember to stop and smell the flowers, watch the children play, and take time for one another!

These boots were made for walking....and hippies.

Too Cute

Addison got some new cowgirl boots the other day and does not want to take them off. If she finds them, she wants them on and proceeds to run around the house in them. She's also quite a cute little hippie!

Lake Powell

We had a great time for a week at Lake Powell on the houseboat. Addison loves the water and I have determined is part fish. It was a very relaxing trip and fun times with family. Here are a few pictures from our trip.

Hawaii

As I am trying to get caught up. Here are some pictures from our great trip to Hawaii for Jenny and Neil's wedding. We had a blast playing at the beach, swimming in the pool, sightseeing and dancing the night away at the wedding. We even had the great joy to go out on a good friend's catamaran for some snorkeling as well as to a Luau. Thank you Shane for the great day and thank you Jenny and Neil for getting married so we could enjoy a fun time in Hawaii!

End of July Events

Last weekend, K and I got to enjoy a night out for Tim's surprise birthday party, but the real surprise happened when we got home. Addison had been throwing up and JJ our wonderful babysitter had to change the sheets 2'xs. If that wasn't bad enough, Addison woke up when we got home, nursed and then threw up all over me, still dressed from the evening. After that it was about 2am and she was running around the house playing, not wanting to go to sleep. Twenty minutes later, she threw up again, on me. Another shower and some loves and she finally went down to sleep. Lucky for me, we had no plans the following day and got to take it easy. Lucky for K, he got to go to work the next day with 3.5 hours of sleep. Oh the joys of parenthood. If that wasn't bad enough. I got the flu 3 days later and K was out of town the entire week helping his sister with her new house. Out of 14 days over the past 2 weeks, K will be home 2.5 days. It makes me very thankful that I am not a single parent. Thanks to my mom and her help, we were able to survive through the week. Being sick and being a mom don't really mix well together.
Our night out

Well I am better now and ready to start another week. Addison continues to be the character that she is. Her new thing is to get her diaper for me out of her diaper stacker. The only problem is, she wants to take the diapers out all day long. Cleaning house and keeping it clean and picked up is a never ending battle. She is taking and dumping something out as quick as I am putting it away. Last night she said "banana" or at least an approximation to it. Bananas are a favorite food, and she tries really hard to get all the syllables in when talking.

Today we visited K at the fire station, only to have him leave on 2 calls. Addy will enjoyed sitting in the driver seat and causing trouble. Tonight, grandpa, mimi, grandma and great grandma all came over for dinner and Addy showed off as usual. She learns very quickly how to make grown adults act like 1 year olds. We hope everyone is enjoying their summer!
