One of Those Days

Today was just one of those days. We have been on the go a lot lately, so I thought I would have a nice relaxing day at home. After feeding Addison at 7 this morning (she is still sleeping through the night!) I decided that we should go back to sleep. Addison and I slept till almost 10:00, which was great. Although I should have been rested, I still felt tired, but it was time to get on with the day. Little that I knew, I should have probably stayed in bed. SO, at the 10:00 feeding, Addison spit up all over me, herself and the bed. This was the first change of clothes for both of us. An hour later, another spit up episode. She is not one to generally spit up, but I think she ate too fast and too much. This was only the beginning of the day and let me just say, 5 more changes on clothes for Addison and 3 more for me made the day complete.

It is so great being a mom sometimes and going through these kind of days. The best thing that happened today was that Addison took a nap in her crib for about an hour. I have decided that I am slowly going to get her used to the crib and then once we return from Hawaii (only 1 week to go) then we will work on transitioning our sleeping to there. I think this will be easier for her than for me, but we shall see. K has been working a lot and I have almost forgotten what it is like to have him home. He will be home tomorrow and then back to work on Sunday. Although it is difficult to have him gone so much, I know he is working hard for us and our family.

Happy weekend to everyone, may everyone stay nice and cool.

Addison's new glasses

Addison has been enjoying her time back at home and has spent lots of time visiting with the grandparents. She is now very stylish in her new sunglasses that she got at South Coast Plaza with mommy and grandma. It is amazing how curious she is with everything around her. Every place she goes she likes to check everything out. She is still sleeping through the night, which is fantastic. The next challenge will be getting her to sleep in her crib, which will probably be tougher for mom than for Addison. Summer has gone by way too fast, we hope everyone has enjoyed their summer too.

Addison at Grandmas

Counting Blessings

Today I am counting my blessings and thanking God for everything he has given me. Often times we ask God for things and to give us things, but forget to thank him for what he has given us. While driving today on the freeway a piece of debris hit my tire, sliced it and blew it out. Luckily I was able to get over to the shoulder safely. My mom and Addison were also in the car. Addison slept through the entire ordeal while we waited for auto club to come and replace the tire. After this incident I think of what the outcome could have entailed and thank God that we are all okay. I can not even imagine anything happening to my little one or my mom. Thank you God for keeping us safe today.

Addison's First Swim

Addison experienced her first time in the swimming pool yesterday at Great Aunt Laura and Uncle Dan's house. She seemed to enjoy it explored with ease. K also let her experience her first underwater experience, which she did alright for. Luckily we caught it all on video.

Sushi

Our good friends, Sarah and Dustin visited us this weekend from San Jose. It is always great to see them and spend time together, but always so short. Saturday night we went to our favorite sushi place in Long Beach, Fusion Sushi. It was very yummy to enjoy since it has been a while for me to enjoy. Addison did alright, but did have one fussy spell, but after a trip outside with dad and mom, she finally settled. After settling this is how she paid mom (see below) while sleeping. I guess some things never change.

Thanks Sarah and Dustin for a great weekend of both girl and boy time and many great laughs, it was long overdue and can't wait for next time.

Addison's First WIne Tasting

While is Oregon, Addison got to experience her first wine tasting trip with mom, dad, grandma uno, and grandma and grandpa Corcoran. Addison was a complete angel and also enjoyed the yummy wine mom had drank as well. We toured the Del Rio winery and then headed to the oldest town in Oregon, Jacksonville for lunch. Then on to the Applegate Valley. The Applegate Valley of Oregon has very beautiful and the wine was good too. Mom and dad can't wait for the next wine tasting trip in hopes that Addison will enjoy it as well.

We are home!

Addison is now a traveling queen. We traveled home from Oregon yesterday and Addison did very well. It only took us 15 hours (normally a 12 hour drive), but we did make some stops for feedings for both Addison and us too. She is an amazing little girl with a personality starting to shine through more and more everyday. She is now 9 weeks old. So hard to believe that I was still pregnant a short 2 months ago. She has also become a little wiggle worm, starting to notice more and more in her environment and kick her feet nonstop. I think she is very happy to be home. When we arrived home last night, I brought her into her room and she continually looked around checking everything out. She is also more interested and mesmerized by her "whale mat" that has lots of fun toys dangling from it. Imitation skills are also increasing. I made a blowing sound with my mouth yesterday with my tongue partially out, I guess you could call it a raspberry and she imitated me and then started laughing. It was very cute.

We are happy to be home in Long Beach, but had a great time in Tahoe and Oregon with the family. I am thankful for my own bed, bathroom and quiet space. This weekend will be filled with more fun, when our good friends, Sarah and Dustin come to visit. Addison is very excited to meet them. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Oregon Continues

We are enjoying time in Oregon. Yesterday the girls attempted to have a shopping day. Addison and Cousin Ashley plotted with one another to take turns with the crying burgade. When one would stop the other would start. We were even lucky to have them going at the same time. Aunt April got her workout in the backseat of the car trying to calm the girls down. Thanks April, we now know what it might be like to have twins.

Today the girls were perfect little angels. Daddy was around and we spent the day in downtown Grants Pass. My little angel is continuing to grow too quickly, as I always seem to be saying. Here are a few photos from the week.

Fun with cousin Ashley

We are currently in Oregon up at the ranch with grandma and grandpa Corcoran, Uncle Kevin, Uncle Kyle, Aunt April and Uncle Jeff and cousins Sean, Blake and baby Ashley. Addison has been having a good time hanging out with her cousin Ashley (2 weeks older). While at the ranch, Addison has enjoyed going on hikes through the ranch, eating every 2 hours during the day and watching daddy work hard. Addison has also been doing well sleeping pretty well during the night too. I am very grateful for the sleep she has granted me. :) Grandma Uno has come today to visit and join the fun.

We hope everyone is doing well back in Cali and everywhere else.

The Family

Here is the Corcoran Family, growing and growing....

The whole gang from the Hartman reunion.

Babies Babies Everywhere

At the family reunion, Addison was one of 6 babies. She was not quite the youngest, her cousin beat her by 4 days. She of course was the cutest, but then again I am biased.
