Updates!

So where has the month of July gone. I feel like it was just 4th of July yesterday and we were watching fireworks from our front yard. Now the month is almost over and it just flew by. It has been a fun one though. Well we have actually had a fun 2 months. In June we traveled to Hawaii for out great friend's Jenny and Neil's wedding. We had so much fun and Addy loved swimming in the pool and exploring all the new things, especially the safe and toilet paper in our hotel room. After Hawaii, we then traveled to San Luis Obispo to do some much needed repairs on our house up there. Addy was a great help, especially with planting new plants and dumping the water all over herself.

Last week we were at Lake Powell on a houseboat. What a stimulating experience for Addison. With 10 adults and 4 other children running wild, Addison had a blast. I am now determined that she is half fish. She loves the water so much and kept asking for more, as she does for many things through sign language. Another favorite was the jet ski. Addison rode with K and I an thought it was loads of fun. It is tough work though riding on the jet ski and actually fell asleep one time. The weather was perfect and only had to experience the effects of one monsoonal storm and one wind storm.

This week we have been trying to play catch up (or at least I am). Addison finally had her 1 year well check and is in great health. She is now 21.5 lbs and 31 inches long. She is in the 90% percentile for her height and 25-50% for her weight.

Addison is also such a character. Her laugh is contagious and her motto is to "go, go,go" all the time. She has started approximating some words too. She will now say ma ma or mom, da da da, hot, hi, no, and ba. Singing songs is her favorite song, especially the bumble bee song that Aunt Meghan taught her last week at Lake Powell. We are truly blessed to have her!

Summer is in full swing. We can not wait to continue to enjoy summer. Today, K, Addy and I enjoyed a wonderful bike ride down by the beach. It was slightly overcast, but still beautiful. This is truly what life is about!
