Updates!

Today was the longest working day thus far. Daddy daycare was in full force today. I on the other hand managed to make it to bootcamp this morning, to 3 different clients and consults and a supervisor's meeting all with sitting in my car and pumping in the backseat in between. Thank goodness for the fantastic power outlet and tinted windows in the pilot. Work has been going well, still trying to get the hang of things and get updated with all the new happenings that occurred while I was gone. I have also started a masters class to top it all off. Addison on the other hand has also decided that she is not going to sleep through the night, which always makes the day start out well. K has been working the last 3 days, so grandma Ono has helped tremendously in terms of babysitting in the afternoon and evening so I can work. I guess I will have to figure out some way to "pay" her for her duties. Maybe getting to spend time with her granddaughter will work :).
Addison is also growing and changing so much each day. She is moving all about and so playful all the time. She is now starting to sit up a little bit on her own. When she starts to fall she will try to catch herself sometime. Nap time is getting better and she is becoming a little more consistent when it comes to taking her nap. This is great because it leaves things a little bit more predictable. We go for our first shot at professional pictures tomorrow, hopefully she will do well.

Mission Accomplished

Today we finally attempted to finish and attack the organization of our office. It has been torn apart for about a week and a half and has been driving me very crazy tripping over everything. There is now finally a light at the end of the tunnel. It is amazing how much stuff can be acquired and how disorganized things can be so quickly. Addison was a very good helper too. She took over a 2 hour nap today and played by herself off and on too. I left the room and she had somehow moved at least 3 feet across the floor. I am assuming she rolled her way over there, but then again she has become a "little scooter" too. Addison also helped by sitting in her bumbo chair and knocking over a pile of cds I had just organized. K kept stacking them back up and she thought it was very fun to keep knocking them down...hey whatever works.

I am worn out and am hoping for some sleep tonight. Addison has been averaging waking up once in the middle of the night and once in the early morning. This weekend will be filled with more projects and K will be working on laying more slate in our backyard. He could really use some help, so if there is anyone out there and wants to assist, we supply food and beverages. :)

Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Addison had her first trip to the pumpkin patch last week. Unfortunately, the time we choose to go, Addison was very tired and did not really seem to care too much that she was there. She fell asleep on the 10 minute drive over there and then woke up when we took her out of her seat and arrived. Addison did enjoy pretending she was a pumpkin with her pumpkin hat and sporting her Halloween socks. She also wanted to try and eat the hay that was hanging behind her, but that is what goes these days....everything goes in the mouth. I am sure that her future visits to the pumpkin patch will be much more exciting for her.

Halloween Spirit

Addison is getting in the Halloween spirit sporting her pumpkin hat and Halloween socks. I have gone back to work this week part time and things are going well. Scheduling has gotten off to a slow start due to transitioning of cases. Addison has done well at daddy daycare and hasn't given daddy too much of a hard time. She has shown him that it is play time all the time and there is not any time to accomplish any projects. One more day this week, happy Friday everyone!

Scott and Courtney's Wedding

Addison wanting to enjoy the wine

With Kids

Without Kids :)

We attended Scott and Courtney's beautiful wedding last weekend in Lodi. It was at a winery in the wine country of Lodi. Addison enjoyed her first wedding and is already fantisizing about the wedding her daddy is going to have for her. Congratulations to Scott and Courtney, we are so happy for you two and wish you only the best!

San Jose

This past weekend on our way to Lodi for Scott and Courtney's wedding we stopped in San Jose. We had a fantastic time Friday night at Meghans for a BBQ and seeing good friends. Addison got to meet her auntie Michele and Jen and had a good time playing with Sarah and Dustin's doogie, Sophie. Thanks to Sarah and Dustin for letting us all crash in your living room for the night. Addison can't wait to come back and party all night again (Addison did not want to sleep that night).

Back to Work

Today was my first day back to work. Last night I was very excited and anxious all at the same time. I had many interesting dreams last night, all of which had nothing to do with work. This morning I was up and getting ready for work, and wow what memories came back. I felt like a real grown up person again. Then, I sat in traffic for 45 minutes in the rain-not fun. All in all the day went well, felt a little sick to my stomach leaving this morning, but I knew Addison was in good hands at daddy daycare. Currently I will only be working 3 days a week rotating what days K is home from work. We will see how things go and adjust accordingly. I am looking forward to another day tomorrow.

the day is over

Today I can ultimately say has been one of the toughest so far. My little one is definitely cutting teeth. I can see two of them on the bottom of her gums. She has been extremely upset and irritable all day long. At one point she cried 30 minutes straight. I tried it all, changing, feeding, walking, rocking, changing positions, pacifier, i tried it all. Finally, she fell asleep, but for only 20 minutes. We finally went for a walk, where Addison had a little nap. To top off the teething, I think she also caught my cold. She has had a little runny nose and sounds congested. And if it couldn't get any worse, we had multiple blow outs today and 3 different changes of clothes and her first diaper rash to boot. Oh and did I mention we also went pee pee on and all over the changing table while I was changing her. We had a bath today of course too.

Little Miss Addison is sleeping now, not sure how long that will last, but I will take it. I hope everyone had a much better day today then mine.

Daddy loves to Share

So, Addison is very very curious about everything. She wants everything that you have. Being daddy's little girl, K can not say no and well here is the result.......

... she could have at least picked a better beer!

Teething Sleeping and Such

Life simply goes by too fast. I can't believe that October is already here. Lots seems to be going on lately. K has been working very hard and been at work a lot. He did though find some time to start laying our slate in the backyard. I can't wait till it is complete. I am hoping that it will be done before Addison's baptism on November 8. I have been a busy bee at home trying to complete projects and organize things. This seems to be a never ending task. My house seems to be clean one moment and a total disaster the next. I guess when little Missy starts becoming mobile it is only going to get worse. Speaking on being mobile, Addison can now roll both from her back to her tummy and her tummy to her back. She is starting to travel around pretty well. Sleeping on the other hand is a different story. We are now having a little difficulty sleeping through the night. I believe that she is starting to teeth because everything and anything goes in her mouth and drool everywhere all the time. I unfortunately have been battling a cold this week too, which I think she might have a touch of, so things have been very fun at night. And since K has been at work for the last 3 days straight, we are quite a pair together.

On another note, I will be returning to work on the 14th of this month part time 3 days per week. I am very excited to return to my job, but also hold some apprehension about leaving the little one. Most of the time she will be spending time with her daddy and grandma, if there are any other times that I need to work not sure what I am going to do yet. If there are any takers out there that might be available on an as needed basis, please let me know :). Other than that, life is good.

This is what happens after a rough night, sometimes you just do what works :)
