Mom and Dad's First Night Out

I finally got some pictures copied from my mom's camera and these are from the first night K and I went out without little Miss Addison for K's high school reunion. Come to think of it, it is the only time we have been out. Are there any babysitters out there??

Grandma JJ's Birthday!

Last weekend, we celebrated Grandma JJ's birthday. Addison had her first boat ride through Naples and then to dinner at Mckennas. Addison's favorite part was getting to drive the boat with Greg. Thanks Jan and Greg for a fun afternoon, Addison can't wait to return for her next boat ride.

Time Flies By

Who says Halloween is the only day to dress up...my little strawberry!

So much is happening lately. Addison had her special Holy Baptism a week ago (more details and pics to follow), I have been balancing work, school and home and K has been working hard at work and at home. He completed the back patio's slate just in time for Addison's baptism. Amazing what an event will do to help speed the process of a project along. Addison is now sitting up all on her own and loving it! She will sit and play with all the toys around her. She actually pretty much tastes all the toys around her. She has also been testing me to the limits when it comes to sleep though. Night time and naps have been rough, but are starting to get better. K was gone at work for 4 days and we battled nap time everyday. She even gave Grandma a difficult time on Saturday when she was babysitting. K was home yesterday and he put her down for a nap and what do you know, no problem. I asked him what his trick was and tried today and it seemed to work alright. I guess daddy just has the special touch.

Addison also started eating rice cereal yesterday. The doctor said that it wasn't necessary till 6 months, but I could try early if I wanted. Well she only has about 3 weeks to go till she is 6 months old (where did the time go?). She seems to be doing well with it. The first time it went in and then it went out. Today she has done a lot better and opens her mouth for more and more and more. Everyday she is more animated and animated. She has a really cute belly laugh where her entire body will move as she laughs. The other day, I sneezed and she thought it was the funniest thing. After that I would pretend I was sneezing and she would crack up. Its been a few days and now she is over it...not so funny anymore.

Addison had her first boat ride on Sunday for Grandma JJ's b-day. Her favorite part was getting to drive the boat. She thought it was lots of fun to hang on to the wheel and even tried to get a taste in too.

Work has been busy for me and I completed 2 reports since I have been back from leave. The last few days I have been trying to write a paper for my masters class and for some reason (don't know why??) it has been difficult to get done. Getting interrupted every 5 minutes doesn't seem to help. Oh well, all part of the course. I feel fortunate and blessed that I am able to spend time with Addison and not be at work full time. She changes so much everyday and I can't imagine missing any part of that. I enjoy going to work, but I also miss her so much and don't want to be away. The intensity of how you can possibly love someone so tiny so much is simply incredible!

Just a Cutie Pie!

Happy Halloween

Addison and Snow White

Addison and Godmother Hippie

Addison enjoyed her first Halloween. She was a little fairy. We went down to Aliso Viejo to our good friends and Addison's godparents, Maria and Steve's house. They live on a cull-d-sac and the whole neighborhood has a block party and potluck. It was a lot of fun to see all the kids running around in their costumes. I am sure that next year Addison will be running around too.
Grandma Ono was a cowgirl and mom and dad were peanut butter and jelly. Once I receive pictures from other people's cameras I will post them. We had a great time and can't wait for next time!
