Welcome to 2011. We are still here and surviving! It has been way too long since I last updated. Many exciting things have happened over the fall and start of winter and I can't wait to share them. First in October, K's sister got married and we welcomed Josh and Richie into the family in a beautiful ceremony at Holy Trinity and a backyard reception at the Corcoran family home. Addy enjoyed dancing and being with family and friends. She even made it half way down the aisle with a little help from mom and dad. Congratulations again to both Meghan and Josh, we wish you two only the best!
In November, we got to celebrate another joining of two people's lives with her our friends Fran and Frankie as they tied the knot on the Central Coast. Unfortunately, it rained that day, but Fran and Frankie did not let it get in the way of their special day. Complete with a photo booth and music from Fran's dad's band, it was a fun evening for K and I. Congrats to Fran and Frankie! Thanksgiving seemed to have come and went too. We had a very yummy dinner at R and B's house with family. There is so many things to be thankful for.
If this time of year isn't crazy enough, I increased my hours at work from 2 days per week to 4 days per week. In addition, in the month of October I started my first BCBA class in order to become a Board Certified Behavior Analysis. I am now happy to report that as of last night I completed my first class and passed, an accomplishment that I am ready to celebrate. 4 more classes to go, 1500 hours, and a board exam. I don't really do anything the simple and easy way. ha ha
December, what another great month! My mom, Addy and I traveled to Florida to visit our beloved great aunt, Aunt Jane. We had such a special time with her and I am so glad that Addy got to spend time with her and get to know her. Aunt Jane is very special and one of the kindest souls I know. Thank you Aunt Jane for all your wonderful hospitality and special time together!
Christmas, oh Christmas. We have had a never ending Christmas. For a couple of days straight, I think we had things going for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Got to spend some good time with family and friends and cherish all the moments and memories. Miss Addy very much enjoyed Christmas this year. Presents, Presents, everywhere! She was truly spoiled and loved it. We hope that everyone had a wonderful and glorious Christmas with friends and family too!
New Year has now passed and we are excited for many new exciting challenges for the new year. Have I mentioned that our collection is growing? Well, we are also happy to announce that we are expecting a new little bundle of joy the end of June. Addy is going to be a big sister! I am not sure if she fully understands yet, but if you ask her if she is going to be a big sister, she does say yes. I am sure it will be a whole new adventure.
So as you can see, the last few months have been full of good times and busy times, and for me some tired times, but have made through it and continue to have fun in the present (my goal) and to the future for the blessed life we have been given. Happy New Year to everyone! May it be the best one yet!
