Here's little missy getting into trouble in the office. She is already interested in computers!

Play Date at the Park

Last week, Addison had a play date at the park with her favorite friends, Andrew and Allison. It was a beuatiful afternoon and Shannon (Andrew and Allison's mommy) and I decieded to go to the park. The kids had fun swinging on the swings and playing on the slide. We can't wait till we can do it all again soon!

Hello Spring!

We are absolutely loving this wonderful warm weather. The warm weather and daylight savings makes me so happy. There is something to be said about seasonal affect disorder. As much as winter can be fun because of the snow, after a while it can become depressing. Addison and I have thoroughly enjoyed our runs in the morning time. It seems to just help get the days off on a good healthy start. It is also my stress reliever. I have now cut my hours at work down to two days per week while I finish up my masters (only 3 more classes to go). With having a baby, school, house and husband work can get a little overwhelming, but things seem to now be working better. I love spending time with Addy, even on the tough crabby days. :). K has started our remodel on our back room which will hopefully be our new family room at some point sooner or later. The challenge is that when he is home from work, I generally am working and so little miss Addison has to be entertained and watched, making it difficult to get things accomplished. Oh well, I guess it will get done sooner or later.
Addison is now a "quick pusher walker". She will push anything along to get going all around the house. It will be no time before she is running and we get to chase after her. She also now has her two front bottom teeth and one of her top teeth is now coming in. They are very sharp, she bit me the other day on the shoulder and it looked as though I had a hickey. Addison is quite verbal too. Her famous aaaaa sound occurs frequently, but now she has moved to a very sweet sounding ba ba ba ba sound. I think she is going to be making her way through the alphabet. She still continues to be a picky eater and protest any vegetable you try to put in her mouth. We have been able to develop ways to "trick" her and pair her veggies with other things in order for her to eat them. What is interesting is that she is not a big fan of pureed veggies, but will eat them cut up as finger foods. Guess she just has to be in control.
Well we hope that everyone else's lives are going well. We miss all our friends and family that we haven't seen or talked to in a while. My goal for the spring time is to stay more up to date with my blog. I honestly don't know where the time goes....life just moves too fast, ENJOY!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Well we had to get some of the Irish blood celebrated for St. Patty's Day. Addy got her green T-shirt out and sported it all day long while hanging out with daddy while I had to work. For dinner, K made corned beef and cabbage and it was very yummy! Addison is now walking while pushing her little stroller. She walked back and forth in front of our house at least 10 times while pushing her stroller with a big smile on her face too. She is getting so animated and very "curious" about everything. Everyday we have something new to explore and have fun with. We hope everyone else had a fantastic St. Patty's Day and enjoyed some yummy green beer too.

Happy 60th Birthday Mom!

Last weekend I pulled off a surprise birthday party with 40+ people for my mom's 60th birthday. The theme was wine tasting and everyone brought a bottle of wine to be included in the wine tasting event. The day was a little stressful because it was raining off and on, but we survived, only had one down-pour during the party to put out all my candles.
We enjoyed some fun games, great friends and lots of yummy wine. Addison also tried to participate and was an angel at the adult party. Thank you to all for your help and "scheming" to pull off this wonderful event. Happy Birthday to my fantastic mother on her 60th year!

Happy Belated Valentines Day!

Clap Clap Clap!

Life is exciting around here...Addison is clapping her hands. When she gets excited she will smile and start clapping her hands. She will also crawl a few feet, stop, sit down, look up, and clap her hands. It is seriously the cutest thing ever. She is also a pro at giving "hi-fives". Here she is practicing her clapping, while exploring grass for the first time on my birthday.

Mammoth

A few weeks ago, Addison had her first trip to the snow. We had a fantastic weekend in Mammoth with Godparents, Maria and Steve and their 3 kids along with Grandma Ono. There was lots of snow and it snowed just everyday. Addison did not like putting on all the warm snow gear, but once she was able to explore the snow with her hands she did not want to stop eating it. We had to take her away from it because we did not want her hands to get frostbitten. K and I were able to ski for a half day which was a lot of fun. I have not had the opportunity to ski for about 3 or 4 years so it was a real treat. We can't wait till we can go back again soon!

UPDATES!

We are still alive. 2010 has gotten off to a an incredibly busy and bumpy start. We started out the year passing a cold back and forth and all around. Couldn't quite shake it for over 3 weeks. We are all healthy now (knock on wood)! I have continued to work as well as attend classes for my masters. I am hoping to be done by June. K has been working hard too and we are still trying to find the balance of both of us working and caring for little Miss Addison. Starting in March, I am going to be reducing by hours for work in order to be home more and give more time to work on school work.

Lots has also been happening since the beginning of the year. Addison is full on crawling everywhere. It is simply amazing how quick she is all over the house. Now that she is mobile, there is no stopping her and her curiosity and exploration expands more and more each day. She wants to know what is happening every moment and is not afraid to go and explore new things. We definitely have to watch her every second. Addison has also expanded her rupture of foods. I continue to make her baby food from fresh fruits and veggies and this week she has started eating chicken. She has also just been introduced to Cheerios and puffs which she loves because she can feed them to herself. I also give her peas, which she feeds herself too. Amazingly she will feed herself peas, but when I try to feed them to her pureed, she wants nothing to do with them.

Addison's new favorite places are the dishwasher an refrigerator. She loves to try and crawl inside and grab anything she can get her little hands on. She is full of personality at all times and just as lovable as can be. Addison can also be very vocal at times too, adding so much more fun to the Corcoran household!
